Hi, just wondering what means slightly fatty liver on ultrasound. Means ?

hello, does ultrasound showing liver cirrhosis?
Check with your doctor but sounds like the ultrasound showed some extra fat on the liver. That is common and can be reversed in many cases through weight loss and exercise. If your doctor (or you) need more information a Fibroscan is a quick and easy test that will show what percent fat your liver has and how much scarring (which may be none). Follow up with the doctor is important since this is very reversable if found early but gets more challenging later.
There is a section on the British liver trust website about fatty liver, britishlivertrust.org.uk/in...
So, did your ultrasound not make any comment about cirrhosis ?? I know that you had an earlier fibroscan with a very high kPa of 61.3 and diagnosis of F4 cirrhosis.
It's possible this is one of those cases where you had ongoing inflammation at the time of your fibroscan and returned a higher than accurate kPa score - fibroscan can't tell the difference between inflammation and actual fibrous tissue and people sometimes get told they have more fibrosity than they actually do.
If ultrasound isn't making any mention of cirrhosis then it's possible you had inflammation and fatty liver at the time of your earlier diagnosis and that your abstinence and cleaner lifestyle has done what it's meant to in improving your liver.
You need a good chat with your doctor as to what your diagnosis actually is. Some up to date bloods and potentially a repeat fibroscan. Keep up the good work, healthy diet, exercise and continued abstinence.
