It means they've not tested your sample to give you a Fib-4 result. Sounds like there may be results of blood tests which your doctor can access but not a Fib-4.

no worries I need this fib4 to get seen faster from the specialist. appointment not till end of april next year no idea what’s happened it’s only the ast result I need as I can use my alt and platelets results from 2 weeks ago to check my own fib 4 score

It sounds to me as though the AST score is in the sample that they refer to (or the person who cancelled it either doesn’t know how a Fib-4 is calculated or assumed AST is in there without checking). Only port of call is someone who has access to the test results methinks. Remember, this isn’t necessarily just the physician that requested them. If it is a GP, their practice team should be able to see. If it is a hospital, people in that specialty may be able to help (e.g. clinical nurse specialists, nurse consultants, advanced clinical practitioners, physicians associates, the juniors/regs etc).

Dear Luca17

We hope that you have managed to get through to the doctors for clarification. If you would find it useful to talk things over, our nurse-led helpline is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm on 0800 652 7330 (excluding bank holidays).

Best wishes
