At last, a review appointment

Fiiinnaallyyy, I have got an appointment to see the consultant for a review/explanation. Only 16 months after diagnosis!!!

My liver kicked off just before Christmas and has been grumbling away this past few weeks. Saw GP at start of week and I had said all I got was a letter of diagnosis, no information about what NAFLD is, no follow up appointment, just the line see your GP for more bloods in a month, any changes see your GP.

I also mentioned that the only way I had gotten information out of my local hospital was to put in a patient information access request.

GP said seeing as what is happening is not normal let's take some blood tests. I was very surprised to get the letter through within 48hrs to make an outpatient appointment, which I did for next week. The blood test results will be back by then too so there will be a picture of my blood levels.

At last....
