Further update Gallbladder removal

So I am home after a long day. Had to get up at 5am to be at hospital by 7am. All the usual preps and questions then operation took place at 10am.

Because I have an LBBB (No underlying heart issues) They were extra careful with monitoring so had an extra canula thingy in my inner wrist to monitor heart beat a bit more closely, which took some time to get in.

Woke up fine with no issues from OP. Cofee, sandwich, wee, and all went fine. Then it was hurry up and wait as the anesthetist wanted to see me again before discharge. She got called away and it was a couple of hours before she got around to me.

Finally left at 5pm but home and comfortable. All seems good so far. Not as much pain as I expected and have eaten some toast and cup of tea.

So am happy so far.

Thanks for all your advice much appreciated. Will update again in a day or two.

A friend had that happen to her and yes it was awful. One reason why I agreed to have mine removed. It scared me to hear how bad she was. Everything OK with you now Will?

Thank you. It is. We are going to Jamaica for a couple of weeks in April and I was concerned I would have to suffer while over there so this is great. NHS got me in pretty fast considering.
