How does clinical research use our data? Is it important? Is it necessary? And how safe is it?
We'll be exploring these questions - and many more - in a discussion about a new research study which is developing ways to understand fibrosis.
Fibrosis means thickening or scarring of tissue in our bodies. It can affect one organ or many. It is very common. The DEMISTIFI research project is different because it compares information from a number of different organs and a wide range of conditions.
This information will come from patient health records, by examining samples such as blood and tissue donated by patients, and from scans taken using Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
The DEMSITIFI research team will be talking about how data is used in their research and answering your questions about data, about fibrosis and about what they hope to achieve.
