Has anyone noticed a relationship between their cholesterol levels and severity/progression of their liver disease? I’ve read that as the liver gets worse, cholesterol levels drop (especially HDL cholesterol).
If you have had this happen, were you on medication (statins) to lower your cholesterol at the time?
Thanks for any info.

It may be diet related but for me I think it’s liver related. My other cholesterol levels are all good. It’s just the HDL is too low. My doc said it’s hereditary so there’s not much I can do about it. I looked back through my bloodwork over the years and it’s always been on the low side so maybe it is just my genes. I tend to blame everything on my liver these days 😞 and can’t stay off Google. I need to get a life!
