I do have fatty liver but I’m 52 years old. But I’m really concerned about my daughter n law that is only 28 years old and she was diagnosed with a fatty liver and she is an alcoholic drinks from early morning til she closes her eyes. But also takes 60 mg of adderall every day. And she take 2 or 3 blood pressure pills a day. I’m very concerned because I have a 8 year old granddaughter that I’m worried about. Any suggestions

Please I need all the suggestions I can get.
Hi. It sounds like you have your hands full, I hope you are receiving some support from family and friends. Fatty liver, like any illness, with the proper diet and lifestyle it can be treated. Your daughter in law is more of a concern. With the combination of the drug she is on and alcohol combined she is headlong into a very serious condition. No doubt her high blood pressure is a result of combining the two (drink/drugs) although just the Adderall alone can do that. There are serious illnesses awaiting unless you can get her to at the very least have an open and frank discussion with her GP. No doubt there are underlying reasons for the medication and no doubt other mental health issues that contribute to the drinking but the problem is the combination…its so important to have her rethink her life choices going forward or as sure as eggs are eggs, more problems will arise. Im hoping that the nurses on here may be able to direct you to some help that may be close at hand to your location. I hope you manage to get things sorted, life is hard enough eh. Take care.
Where is her husband, have you spoken to him about your concerns? He plays a role in the bringing up of your grandchild? Maybe, talk to him.
