Beta Blockers for Portal Hypertension /heart failure

Advice please for the type of Beta Blockers someone with Portal Hypertension and Heart Failure might be put on.

I'm currently on Nebivolol for HF.

I have had very good success with Nadalol 40mg. A non-specific batablocker. Helped with varices. Good luck. Wayne

Hello there. I was put on 12.5 mg carvedilol daily, to treat portal hypertension,by my gastro consultant, have been on that for over 4 years now,although I do still have some varices. No side effects though. Your medical team will see which one is best for yourself im sure.

I'm on Propanolol.. But I've been on that since before cirrhosis because I have a tachycardia.. Had I not been on it I might have had more bleeds..

Does the person have cirrhosis? I’m on carvedilol to control PH.

Was on Carvedilol got side effects shortness of breath and rash, got put on Propranalol pre-tp, stopped after tp.
