my belly is swollen and nobody seems concerned about it, but they still managed to find cirrhosis and cancer of the liver. I’ve just started to walk again after having a stent put in my aorta to get the blood flowing in my legs again. Hopefully my belly will go down a bit now. So they will still find it if you have it. All the best.

Doctor can carry out a percussion test where belly is palpated to see if any tummy swelling is fluid filled or just good old belly fat.

I found I couldn't get comfortable, and clothes were tight.

I started with a funny sensation around the area where my liver is. A bit like indigestion/wind

My belly started growing outwards to the point where I could only wear my trousers below my normal waist line. Couldn’t do shirts up. I then started to get swelling in my feet ankles and legs.’ Just before diagnosis, I couldn’t get out of my car if I couldn’t open my door wisely enough. I coukdnmt get my belly out of the car!!!!

The swelling was really quite solid. Very different to fat.
