platelet and bilirubin level creating anxiety

2 years ago I had bloods and bilirubin came back at 30mmol.. bloods & platelets normal all other LFT were also normal. Last week had a further blood test as a general check up as I have hypertension. The results came back that all bloods are fine however blood platelets are 143000 which is borderline low. In addition my bilirubin had gone up to 34 mmol (1.9mg) however my other LFT are normal. I have been on a restrictive diet for about 3 weeks prior to this blood test (about 7-800 calories per day and no alcohol). The GP has said for me to have a further blood test at my convenience. A little history, I have had kidney stone history for a long time and had many ct scans on right kidney, my last scan approx 3 years ago. I have felt some pain in right flank but urologist says no stone is showing and now I wonder if in fact that pain was associated with liver issues. Surely any kidney ct scan would have picked up liver problems?? As you might expect I am worried sick but trying to hold it together over Christmas for my son and wife. I will go for blood test again after Christmas during which time I will not drink and eat sensibly. Google has so far filled me with advanced liver disease, cirrhosis and an uncomfortable death. Is there any reassurance you can offer with my current blood test results etc? Thank you all and best wishes. Andrew

Have you been checked for Gilbert's Syndrome? Did your doctor mention this condtion regarding your bilirubin level?
