small area of fat.

Hello again

have done another ultrasound and the answer is that everything looks normal but a small area of fat deposition at the ligamentum teres. This naturally increases my anxiety. is it normal? Can there be fibrosis in a small accumulation of fat? have spoken to my doctor but she didn't mention this, i read it in my medical record. will talk to her again though.

If it's said fat then that's what they've found, don't go over thinking this again. The fact it's said a small area of fat disposition is good, not widespread infiltration. Tackle fatty liver with healthy diet and exercise and of course no alcohol.

I'm really trying to think about not overanalyzing this but at the same time I want to understand. google doesn't help me much so I've stopped using it. I thought that first you got fatty liver in the whole liver, then inflammation and then fibrosis. but can you have a little fat and fibrosis.?

They describe it as fatty deposits so that can mean fat deposits can be patchy and dispersed throughout the liver rather than all over it - a fibroscan when it gives a fat score / steatosis grade - score S1 (11 - 33 % of liver fatty), S2 (34 - 66% fatty), S3 (more than 67% fatty). At S3 you'd be seeing more than 67% of the liver having fatty build up and that's when liver cells are likely to begin getting compromised leading to fibrosis.

Since no fibrosis has been mentioned in your case, get on with tackling and reducing the bit of fatty liver you have and hopefully all will turn out good.

so then I assume that you can see fibrosis on ultrasound(?) and that they had then mentioned this. I don't drink alcohol anymore and eat healthy. however, I am chronically tired (one of my symptoms) and I have muscle pain. so this is what I'm being investigated for. I also have lada diabetes,

my liver values are just below the reference value. as I wrote before, I am a little worried that old sins (alcohol) have damaged my liver.

Unfortunately you one of those people that will not be happy untill they find something wrong with you.

All your tests are normal and just mention some slight observations that are of no real concern.

Your well, move on and enjoy life.
