How swollen is your abdomen,do you have any swelling around your lower back? if you are suffering from ascites they should have you in and drained ASAP don't take no for an answer. My Ascites was from a heart condition and lead to my diaphram and lungs been constricted so i could barely breathe. How is your breathing? do you have swollen feet?
