mercaptopurine

I've had another flare of my AIH and they've started me on mercaptopurine daily.

I was wondering what help & advice any 6MP users could give me. Experiences, side effects, do's & dont's?

I'm nervous about taking it after having a bad reaction to azathioprine. Feel okay so far tho.

I reacted to azathioprine and was switched to mercaptopurine with no problems. Hope it works for you too.

I am not sure whether or not you are already on the AIH Facebook group - loads of members there are on 6MP as an alternative to aza and I am sure they will help share their experiences.
