Morning all, sorry i havent been on here. Lifes been so hectic, havent had time to think sometimes. How is everyone? I guess those that have been following hubbys story may have been wondering where we are at with him. Yes hes still around suprisingly.

Hes had ups and downs. Sleeps/tired most of the time still. He started feeling very unwell Thursday of last week ,throwing up in the afternoon, and most of the night refusing to go into the hospital because a few months ago him feeling like this and after 10/11 hours in AnE to be told there is nothing wrong with him and to go home, and unless he is vomiting loads of blood dont bother them, Yes the Dr on call in there used those very words. He was still very unwell Fri still throwing up, Alot of pain in his stomach as always and in his back. So i told him the drs coming out wether he likes it or not. i told him im not going to just sit there and not do anything about it. The dr came out, examined him and told him he thinks hes got pancreatitius and he would prescribe him anti sickness. Said if he gets worse hes got to go into the hospital and then he left, not even waiting for me to ask questions. Hubbys reaction was i told you it was a waist of time. Honestly sometimes i think im dreaming it all.I went and got his anti sickness meds, which didnt work , hubby was still being sick until early hours sat morning. (Yes i tried to get him to the hospital but he kept saying i will be fine).Saturday he came down stairs for the first time since tuesday. Laid on the recliner and after five minutes started hallucinating, and talking strange, and was very aggigated.I rang up the out of hours surgery and they told me to keep an eye on him and if he gets worse to ring them back. He decided to go to bed because everything irritated him being down stairs and he just didnt feel well. The sickness had stopped. He slept most of sat, Sunday i had to go out and when i came back he was laying on the bed, looking very grey and telling me he was dieing. I asked him why he thought that, he said i just feel like i am, all my sides are aching, i think my kidneys are bleeped, my backs hurting.I told him im ringing an ambulance and he agreed but when i had been to the bathroom he changed his mind.(hes scared and has been for a long time that he will die in the hospital surrounded by strangers, three of his freinds that happened too).So i told him if he does get worse then he is going in. He stayed the same sunday. Monday he slept alot but came down stairs about 6 last night still not feeling very well along with a chesty cough.(Hes also got COPD).He thinks hes now got a chest infection. He asked me to ring the drs to have bloods done so got him an appointment for Friday. He went to bed and hes been there since. Im going to see how he is later and if hes no better he is def going in. Yes i know those who have never read my posts before may think oh i would ring the ambulance, oh i would force him to go in. Believe me if i thought it would help and he would go in or be willing to be seen i would do that, but as the paramedics told me unless he is willing to go in then they cant do anything about it. Personally all the hallusinations, confusions, the pain and sickness and the way hes speaking makes me wonder if his organs are slowly failing. So im baring that in mind. Sorry for the long post. Ill keep you updated.

Really hope everyone else is ok. Hugs to any one whos loved ones have passed away since i last was on (about 6 months ago i think). My heart goes out to you and those who are struggling to deal with diagnosis your stronger than you think keep going. To those who are carers and watching loved ones suffering you are amazing people. Its tough caring for a loved one and watching them suffer knowing there is nothing you can do for them, you are doing a grand job and even though it seems endless bear in mind your loved ones wether they show it or not do apprciate what you do for them. Love and hugs to all.

Hi Lyn. Lovely to see you back. Sorry hubby is suffering without much help.Do you think he could be suffering from kidney stones along with everything else? Some of his symptoms are indicative of it. If he is still suffering l wouldn't hesitate to get help, pain relief (morphine and etinox) and scanned.

All the best to you both.

Hope you are well, you need to make sure you are looking after yourself too. It helps no one if you start to struggle as well....so make sure you are doing nice things for yourself. I agree with Laura, it does sound a bit kidney stoneish. The problem with liver disease is that it becomes the main focus of attention and things get missed as a result. I had anemia not long after I was diagnosed. The automatic assumption is that it was liver related. So loads of tests: bloods and scans. All drawing a blank, until my GP cauterised my nose. I had been having bad nose bleeds which everyone put down to low platelets. Only when tested they were normal. So my GP, who had a special interest in ENT, decided he’d order the cauterising kit and sorted my nose out. Hey presto....nosebleeds stopped, anemia went. All my bloods now normal. Fortunately, my GP has known me for years and looked at the problem in the round. It may be worth taking your husband to his GP as a starter. Worth a try.
