I live in Canada, is there a website that would be a better suite for me as I have noticed most medical terms are from the UK and don’t make sense to me making what I read very confusing regarding medical terminology
Is there a site for Canada : I live in... - British Liver Trust
Is there a site for Canada
Hi Justme, we have a lot of Canadian members who have found their way here because there doesn't seem to be much similar support over there. There is the Canadian Liver Foundation but I wouldn't know whether they have a forum or anything. liver.ca/
What medical terms are causing you issues as the terminology being used is international to the liver & liver treatment it might only be discussions regarding out National Health Service in the UK and routes to treatment etc. that may differ.

As Ayrshire states what ones are causing concern, I suspect its maybe some of the Liver bloods ie ALT, AST etc. Thats because the actual medical terms are so long, and we just use the abbreviated terms that are used in Labs across the world. But MRI, CT, MRE etc etc are common enough as types of scan techniques. Let us help if we can..
Some time ago now I created a thread which helped to explain some of the abbreviations which are commonly used. healthunlocked.com/britishl...
Hi this is fab is there and I have managed to save to my home page.

This site is for mostly Americans - though many other nationalities post there as well.
The medical terms are for the most part quite similar.
