Bloods AFP results.

Hi all, I wondered if any one can help , I know you are not medically trained but maybe call upon your own test.

When I had scan and bloods to check for Liver cancers my AFP = 5 is this normal range, hope you are all keeping well. Xx🧚‍♀️🧚‍♀️

Hello,

Your result is within the normal lab range. It is a useful benchmark for your medical team and allows them to see the trend in the future as you undergo your routine screening for liver cancer.

Hi Tia ,had mine checked last August,is that the protein one,I never got to know the blood test result only the scan,which just said fatty liver,gall stones as previously noted,bit I was never told the year before about the gall stones ! Which he said they don't,but I spent a year in agony thinking it was just the after effects of colonoscopy.would check notes but not got them,hope your ok.,how did endoscope go,?.

Endoscopy not pleasant to say the least more banding then back on Feb 28 again, I'm having sedation just can't stand the procedure, been in so much pain rang Liver Nurse at the Hospital she said for GP to prescribe, had telephone appointment he said it's going to take a few days as I'm complex the cheeky moo lol, hope you are well XXX 🧚‍♀️

Hi,bless you it's bloody horrible,the very last one I had I felt like an animal been put to sleep,just laid down,mouth open,mouth guard in,and here we go,not so much of a roller coaster,and you always have the nurse saying "are you alright" my reply" Sorry I don't speak with my mouth full!! Not nice at all,but they discovered more ulcers in upper GI tract,so that's why I'm pushing a bit as they say it's all alcohol and not the aspirin,Long story,keep in touch,Would speak but bet you have a sore throat.Take care,Oh the second time I bit the plastic mouth guard so hard it broke my bridge work,So a nice bill from dentist,when I can Bl....Dy see one.X

Hi, yes it within normal range. From 0 till 7 is the range.
