If you have hep c see a Dr right away and get treatment. Jaundice does not always mean cirrhosis. Untreated hep c can lead to cirrhosis though. I’m no doctor but my jaundice covered the entire whites of my eyes. I quit drinking and it went away in weeks.

They will ask you to delete your photo on here, part of the rules. But The only way to know if that’s jaundice is to get your bilirubin tested mine are yellowed on the side but my drs say it’s normal

in reply tomtk0925

Normal as in you don’t have jaundice?

Why have you posted the same thing twice?

If you are that concerned a bunch of strangers in the internet are not who you should be asking, go to a hospital.

You can get jaundice from hep c alone. Jaundice != cirrhosis and cirrhosis != jaundice

Btw symptoms vary and many have none at all.

Hi Andreeva

As other people have said, we are not allowed to post pictures on here asking for a diagnosis. That is because nobody here knows, you may have jaundice or you may not have jaundice. And we do not want to say the wrong thing.

If you would delete the picture that would be nice :)

I have had jaundice and my gums and tongue were yellow not my eyes.

I have Hep C. I am being treated with antivirals (Harvoni)

I may have had some symptoms before I was diagnosed but since then, I have had a little nausea, a very small ache in my kidneys and by my gall bladder but.... these aches may be something else and not related to my Hep C.

There will be some fatigue, tiredness. If someone does not post a link to the NHS hepatitis C web page you could check out the hep c trust it is full of information

but I do hope you stay here, this site is friendly, but we do follow the rules about medical pictures :)

Also I can update you on how my medicine is working :)

You need to see a doctor, you need to get referred to a consultant (Gastro Entrologist) he will arrange for a fibroscan which will tell you about your liver, whether you have cirrhosis or fibrosis. You should ask for your information from the scan, a liver nurse will tell you the important figures and what stage your liver is at. Then you will be started on the tablets. Once the tablets start to work, your liver will get slightly better because the virus will no longer be damaging it. After that you can help your liver improve by doing the right things.

Hep C medication is very successful at curing Hep C.

But while you wait you can start doing the right things now. NO alcohol, healthy food (google the Mediterranean diet) and exercise if you are a little overweight. The only other thing I was told is to avoid fizzy drinks (Hep C patients). Black coffee and water are the best 2 things to drink.

I hope you feel better soon and get your referral and medicine.

and I hope you stay on the forum

Firstly it is against forum rules to post photos for opinions or diagnosis.Secondly if you have to ask if your eyes look jaundiced, then they are not, it would be blatantly obvious. My husbands were the colour of custard.

Thirdly by constantly pulling your eyes down like that you will be damaging blood vessels which could in turn discolour the whites of your eyes. So (a) please remove both your photographs and (b) leave your eyes alone and enjoy Christmas.

The reply by positive said it all. If you actually had jaundice you would have no question about it, you would know it without a doubt. It is not a subtle thing. Instead you would be walking around and people would say things like "Are you okay, your eyes look very yellow, you should get that looked into.". Again, if you actually had jaundice, you wouldn't be wondering if you have jaundice, you'd know it. And indeed, lowering your eye skin to look can break veins and cause the exact thing you are worried about - yellow eyes!

Please not I am NOT a doctor and only a doctor will tell you for sure, so definitely don't take my word for it.
