Side pain and terrible itching

I’m waiting to see the dr. My symptoms are a pain in my right side that starts during my day about mid day and progresses through the night and ITCHING like crazy, mainly on my breasts, that also increases at night , sometimes waking me up. My question is, do you think the breast itching thing is a symptom ? I’ve eliminated as many things as I can think of that may be causing it, and there’s no rash, but it’s maddening! Any insight appreciated… thanks!

Hi I'm sorry to hear you are itching and having pain.I've been diagnosed for quite some years now and I would say under control.

I used to have the dreaded itch that literally took over my life .

I tried powders antihistamines and alsorts.

The only thing that worked for me was a drug called Rifapancine but they say this is a last option .

I have reduce dosage with other meds I take but it works and I don't dread work or having a new day.

Good looke with your consultant

Oh I feel your pain and frustration! I’ve had liver disease for 17 years transplant 3 years ago. My condition is autoimmune! Pew transplant itch was unbearable!!!!!!!! Post Tx went away fir a while but returned about a year later! Starts at 8:30 pm on the button!!!! I’m on Urso & another tab for itch. Doesn’t really help much. I find antihistamine and Cetreban help.

The itching can be a symptom, but in my case it varies over time. My doctor prescribed mometasone furoate, also Dermol 500 for showering. Seemed to help when it was really bad. I take piriton at night. All the best.

Ooh, I have the breast itching - I'll wake up with scratches over them, never actually thought of it as a symptom, but it makes sense now.Only newly diagnosed with fibrosis so I am not much of an expert on it yet!

Hi - i'm sorry to hear about your pain. I too have had the right side pain for almost 3 months now and am seeing a doctor about it in 4 days. I have a history of drinking although stopped more than a couple of years ago. I had LFTs done a few weeks ago privately and they were all normal.

I notice you had a gallbladder removed and still have the itching and pain? Can you talk us through what's happened to you over the past year?

I'm in the boat you were in when you last posted. I'm 3 months in to right side pain and am collecting thoughts from people on their experiences.
