Pain in right side when drinking and maddening itching that's worse at night.

A pain under rib cage when drinking anything ( I do not drink alcohol ) and an incredible itching that gets much worse at night. What does this mean? A liver problem?

Only people who can answer this is your doctor ... You need to go describe your symptoms and I am sure they will investigate

I read here where someone with a liver disease had these exact symptoms - the right-side pain, and the itching that grows worse at night. I have not been diagnosed as of today (1/18/18) but this made me highly suspicious that I may have a liver disorder.

I agree with Jojo you need to see a doctor for an examination of your symptoms. It may be nothing at all to do with your liver. Itching in liver disease is generally a sign of very advanced liver disease and a massive build up of bilirubin which generally also causes jaundice & pain in your right hand side could be any number of things. Only a doctor can advise further based on blood tests, physical exam and perhaps other tests.

Thank you, Katie! Called Dr. He's not there. bad ice and snow here today. Below zero temps. We rarely get cold like this in the southern U.S..

Everyone is different though just because someone on here was diagnosed it doesn't necessarily mean you or others will have liver disease a bit of things could be causing the itching so only way to find out is from a professional x. Good luck

Hi Pokemon

Look after yourself and get checked out by your doctor. That is the best thing to do. I assume you try to look after your health anyway, if so then you are already ahead of the game of not perhaps the concern is a reminder to help your health with a good nutritional diet, exercise, quality sleep and having fun. Anything else you need i am sure the doctor can advise.
