I have recently been told that my GT blood levels are 200 when they should be between 30-50 and a ultra sound scan showed a course liver..? Am keen to know how others have self treated themselves back to better liver health etc.
Thanks

If your scan showed a coarse liver it isn't something you can self-treat.
You need to be under medical care to give you proper explanations of why your liver texture isn't smooth as it should be.
You need to know the reason for the coarse liver, if the cause is lifestyle related then you'll need to make amendments to your lifestyle to help look after your liver. If not lifestyle related then you need a proper work up to determine the reason for the change in liver texture.

Katie is absolutely correct. Trying to self treat without knowing what it is that you are actually treating could do more harm than good. I would hope that when the report gets back to your own doctor he/she will want to investigate further so that appropriate management and followup can be instigated.

Hi sorry about that, technical HIC hup,I had stopped drinking for ten month ,but previous to that I had a colonoscopy, and it caused an infection, after 6 months of not drinking my GGT was 210,at the fibro scan I asked if that was high and they said just exercise and good diet, keep off beer, wine,so think it takes quite a while to settle,I've always been very active so push myself now,not for everyone, just had early august full bloods again and further scan so anxious as to what they are,
