My Doctor really freaked me out

I found these black lines under several of my nails.

I googled it and they can be caused by heart problems and autoimmune diseases or just a bump on the nail.

I called my GP and they had me come in straight away to get bloods checked. They checked LFTs and clotting.

Both were normal so the Doctor wasn't too concerned. I went to see a GP a few weeks later and he listened to my heart to make sure they was nothing irregular.

The doctor thought maybe it was just trauma on the nails.

So when some more of them started appearing on the nails I called the Doctors again.

I spoke to another Doctor and he thought I was probably ok but he wants me in to run some more bloods maybe checking for an autoimmune disease.

But he mentioned that splinter hemmorhages can be a sign of liver disease which really freaked me out as I had high enzymes 18 months ago.

But then he said it couldn't be my liver cause my bloods were fine.

I really don't understand this whole thing of whether you can have normal bloods with liver disease. The Doctors seem to think my liver is fine. But now I'm freaked out again.

I really don't want to end up in health anxiety hell again I pretty much had a breakdown last time I convinced myself I had cirrhosis. My ultrasound and bloods were normal. I wish the Doctor hadn't said my stupid brain always goes in to panic mode.

I’m very sorry, I can relate to this a little. I think it’s important to work with your doctors to rule out these underlying conditions. Nails are strange, many different thinks can affect them, it might be important to note any trauma that they sustain so that you will know if that’s a possible cause or not

Unfortunately some liver diseases don't alter LFT and even ultrasound may seem normal. IIn my case, only the biopsy showed the problem and the diagnosis.Іt's possible to look for other reasons as well.

Just had more bloods taken they gave me the works. They are testing LFT again, they only did it a few weeks ago. Makes me anxious that they are testing the liver after saying it was fine a few weeks ago. The Doc I spoke to even said over the phone that I don't have liver disease so why test it again. God I hate waiting for results.I've had a bit of ingestion and acid reflux lately I'm hoping it's just an ulcer. I can't see anything online about Splinter Hemmorhages and the liver.
