Stay well away from anything that claims to 'liver detox' ............ your liver doesn't need de-toxing. All that will clear is your bank account.
No, there is no alcohol in apple cider vinegar & neither is there any evidential proof that it does anything positive for your body - anecdotal evidence about fat burning etc. but i'd stay well clear of anything 'alternative/herbal' or otherwise UNLESS like your pro-biotics they have been run past or advised by your liver doctor.
The last thing you need is anything tipping your liver over the edge so don't give it more potential work to do.

Thank you.yes when I did get a reply from a doctor he told me no I said wait there do you want to hear the ingredients he said he didn't care what it says he just said no lol
I'm overwight atm I looked at these diet plans there say it's natural e.g fennel seeds and stuff.are they just full of shit?I had a row from my liver consultant before for even taking protein shakes lol
You need a good healthy, balanced diet, exercise and nothing more.
NONE of the stuff you buy even in a reputable health food shop has any evidential proof that it has any beneficial properties and worst still they have no rigorous tests done to prove they don't cause harm especially to people with pre-existing conditions.
Conventional medicine goes through testing to identify the pro's, the con's, potential negative side effects etc. etc. Hence all the furore about the seemingly rushed out vaccines with people being concerned they haven't thoroughly undergone all the usual testing and actually still being at trial stage.
Your doctors want you to stay safe and healthy so they don't want you taking something to add strain to a stable cirrhotic liver.
Hi Miles7,A friend of mine who is an expert on bloodwork analysis and LFT said not to drink apple cider vinegar as its fermented!!
Any drink that is fermented causes harm to our cells, especially liver cells and makes them extremely acidic. This invites all sorts of problems such as inflammation, cellular diseases, killing of cells, drastically reduces cellular healing, etc.
He said you want to get your body into an alkaline state. To do this is by eating 80% veggies and 20% fruit along with ginger and turmeric and moderate protein such as chicken and certain kinds of fish.
Another friend, a Naturopath of 30 years, gave me this recipe…
Put 3L of pure water or alkaline water in a large sauce pan.
- 2 to 3 lemons
- 1 or 2 cinnamon sticks
- A small handful of whole cloves
- A chunk of ginger…grated
- a chunk of turmeric…grated
- 7 to 9 twigs of rosemary or fresh ground
Other fresh herbs as desired such as a oregano, sweet Basil, Terragon etc…
Throw in the cinnamon sticks and the cloves.
Grate the ginger and turmeric in fine pieces.
Grate the lemon rind, squeeze juice from lemons and put them and other stuff in the water.
Bring to boil. Then turn off. Cover it overnight to let it cool.
Once cool, strain.
I put the juice in a large jug and keep in refrigerator.
Drink 1 to 1.5L per day.
Extremely healthy!!
Wow very cool info thank you.so all fermented foods isit?does turmeric thin the blood ? Thanks again for that il try it out
You’re welcome!I don’t know if turmeric thins the blood…however, it’s a fantastic anti-inflammatory…especially for the liver.
Or I should be OK to take.i think lol .yeah I heard turmeric is good .didn't know about the liver though.you think 17 years having cirrhosis I'd know these things wouldn't you haha
Yes. You will be fine. Btw…I forgot one main ingredient in “The Concoction” recipe! That’s ground peppercorns!! As turmeric is hard for the body to absorb, ground peppercorns bind with turmeric that increases the absorption amount. Make sure you add this! All the best. Cheers.
Ok cool .but make sure it's the spice itself yeah?as a lot of supplements are not good.is that correct.
I just looked it up…turmeric is a natural blood thinner.
