Scary vision problem now

My vision is blurry in the morning and improves greatly as day goes on. I’m sure I have severe liver damage but can’t get sense out of docs, would appreciate a reply.

Just a quick question please. Are you by any chance taking any medication for high blood pressure, any antidepressants? I ask this because nearly all drugs have some form of side effects, Some of these drugs can cause a condition called, "Dry Eyes". I am not qualified to offer any medical advice, but am sharing my own personal experiences here.

I take medication for blood pressure and also suffer from dry eyes, Speak to your doctor about your condition. He/she may well prescribe eye drops to help alleviate the problem, but may also what to try and understand the cause.

Always seek professional medical advice.

Good Luck.

Richard

Thank you. I am on BP meds. I need to see a doctor. Telephone conversations not good enough. I am going to have to insist on a scan, will mention vision if I get to see one. I had blood tests Friday and all normal but borderline F9. Would ferritin be high if I had liver disease? So worried.

Try not to worry. The liver is a very tough and forgiving organ, It is a fighter. It can take a lot of abuse and damage, and still fight its way back.

Please don’t take this the wrong way, but are you constantly concerned and worried about your health? There is a condition called “Health anxiety”. Please see this NHS website for more information: nhs.uk/mental-health/condit... this condition is a lot more common than many people think.

By overthinking and worrying about your health, you can cause yourself to become ill. I hope this doesn’t sound condescending in any way. The last thing I’d want to do is to speak out of turn.

Once again, discuss this with your doctor when you next see him/her.

Good Luck

Richard

Richard, I hope it is anxiety. My bowel seems to have just gone to sleep. I have to take Lactose. Funny inner shaky feeling and vision problem. If it’s cirrhosis and can be managed I can cope but my symptoms tell me it’s much worse. I am very anxious and drinking wine alleviated it but have a feeling I’m going to regret it now. Blood panel perfect and this last round of tests, more vitamins are normal with the exception of folate which is borderline. Thank you for replying.
