Generalised itching

I've been having generalised itching without a rash for the past several weeks. I know itching can be caused by a lot of different things but I'm a 4 year bowel cancer survivor and since the main place bowel cancer spreads is the liver, it has had me a little concerned. I went to my GP who ordered liver function + anemia blood tests which came back all normal. I had a blood test and abdominal/chest CT in June which was fine too (I get them every 12 months for cancer surveillance). I don't have any other symptoms and otherwise feel fine. Should I push for more tests or would a normal LFT usually rule out liver problems?

Are you under the care of a colorectal team or do you have a bowel cancer nurse specialist? They may be able to discuss matters with you and ensure you have the correct investigations.

Not really, I see my colorectal surgeon for surveillance follow-up (colonoscopies and CT scans), but otherwise I see my GP for any other issues.

Can you perhaps contact your surgeon and get their opinion?

I'll follow up with my GP again if it doesn't resolve itself.

I went to see my GP again as I've been a bit anxious about it. He said I should be reassured by the blood test results and suggested I try a new moisturiser for the next 2 weeks but come back if it's not improving.
