Just had my 3rd ultrasound done of my liver and seen a liver consultant. The radiologist was very reassuring that my liver looks fine. Im still have red palms from time to time and burning in my stomach. Im also under the GI unit for inflammation in my small bowel.
Just wondering if there is anything else i should be asking my liver consultant in terms of scans to put my mind at rest that the liver is ok. All previous blood work, ct scans have come back normal

You'll just have to wait for the results of the ultrasound to be analysed and checked.
A radiologist isn’t qualified to interpret the images, and shouldn’t be commenting. They can get into trouble for doing so
It does seem that all the scans you've had have ruled out any possible cirrhosis or liver disease. This is all good news. They liver consultant will now most likely pass you back to your family doctor, who will most likely carry out further tests to try and establish the right diagnosis?
Most medical diagnosis is done by ruling out what it's not. So now they know it's not liver related, they can go looking elsewhere., this might take sometime.
At least you can enjoy Christmas knowing that your liver is fine.
I've had 14 ultrasounds in three different hospitals and every one told me what they'd seen (or not seen) while I was still lying there. Are they really not meant to?
Good Morning hells, Tracy12 posted up a thread nine days ago entitled, "Ct scan results". I responded to this,. There was a nice reply from “Dazakella2010” that you could read: healthunlocked.com/britishl...
If you would require further information, I’m sure Dazakella wouldn’t mind if you ask her.
I have been looking this up, and I think Dazakella is most likely better placed to answer this.
I would think it depends on the consultant as to which type of scan they require to take place. They could call for a basic Ultrasound, or they could ask for an Ultrasound Elastography. I understand that the elastography can show up Fibrosis. However, an ELF test may be the quicker and cheaper alternative. Have a look at this: britishlivertrust.org.uk/in...
I had my transplant in July and still get red palms - all of my bloods etc are spot on! Some people just have red palms - my 15 old has had for years and he's as fit as a fiddle
