As most of us are already aware friendship comes in many forms!

A true friend standsby you consistently both when you are present and when you are not. They're Authentic and Honest with you. true friends aren't phony with you! They show you who they really are!

Then there is the definition of a best friend who is a person who you value above other friends in your life, someone you have fun with, someone you trust and someone in whom you confide. The first person you call when you get good news or want to go out with.

Finally, some friends play at friendship but a true friend stick closer than one's kin. "The Message : True friends will be with you through life's most soul shaking changes. No one has greater love than this!

Just remember a true friend can be your spouse, your brother or sister, a family member, a neighbour or just a FRIEND who's ALWAYS there when the universe gives you that unwanted health kick!

Remember friendship is the key as your reading this message!

We all know that ‘ TRUE ‘Friendships are the key to a happier life as we each support one and other through the good times 👍and of course through the tough ones which many on this forum have! I’m a great believer of always standing firm by each of my friends until that cardboard box comes calling😊

Have a lovely weekend

I totally agree. True friends stand by each other through thick and thin. This illness plus covid can make you feel very isolated x

No, you sometimes think your alone in your own community as noone understands liver illness let alone end stage. I've hired a personal assistant from last week who is insured for my car so, even with a broken back I can go where I want and also in her, a new friend

Take care, julie xx

I must say for the second time that you're definitely an inspiration to others following you! Your strength and determination to live life also tell others that we can achieve more if we look at things from a different angle!

My prayers are with you

Your a great guy, spoke with GP last week and at least I haven't got months but she wouldn't commit on years as to how many. She changed the subject. I didn't mind, I've made and re made that many wills I had my latest one signed and sealed this week. No family so I've left to people who have been true to me and genuine with kindness and practical help. I don't find it morbid as it's got to be done. I'm happy go lucky most of the time but my downers can be bad. How are you at the moment. I don't know much about you x

Hope this first liner doesn't disappoint you but I'm a squaw who presently would rather not talk much about herself! All I'm prepared to give away is, I'm sincere to the core of our universe!

You enquired into my wellbeing, well I'm fine, good and not so good days but nothing serious other than two small operations won't put right plus some ongoing investigation results await.

I'm sorry to read you have no family but it sounds like you have some good friends and hopefully some living close by who can visit!

Hi jules am the same but have a lovely family and n amazing wife I to have wrote my will yet am changing it Again I have a son who came back in my life 3 years ago yet only ever came to see me 3 times my wife who never got involved in me and my sons relationship yet she talked and was lovely to him even though she wasn't his real mother .he just walked back in my life like nothing had happened anyway I was happy to have him back in my life after a week or 2 he asked me for money which I gave happily he never had a job but kept saying he was looking then he said his phone was broken and he needed 1 to look for work which as you guessed it I bought him a new phone I was lending him money every week and this went on for 2years and he finally found a job and my 40th birthday was coming up and he never even bought me a card only a photo he sent to my phone of an empty 1ltr bottle of jack daniels with the caption saying I drank this for you dad knowing I used to be a alcoholic I'd gave him well over 2 and a half thousand pounds and he couldn't even by me a card which might sound petty to some but instead sent me a picture of a empty bottle of booze .so I sent him a message that he wouldn't be getting another penny out of me again and I haven't heard off him since February so I had to write another will without him in it the saying you know whose real and fake weather it be family or friends is certainly true xx

Hello - OMG OMG I feel so much for you. Its pretty obvs what ur son wanted and terribly sad to say the least. The empty bottle is unforgiveable!!!!!! Some families go thru awful times with siblings and others bond so well which I am very envious of. Mine is not good and will writing reflects that. Nothing of your post sounds petty. It is good you can speak out on here without judgement. You have a lovely wife who is on point with your relationship with your son. Very sad to read and this will come back and bite him on the bum. Keep chatting to ur friends here - most are wonderful. Your and yours keep safe.

Best to you

Gwen

Thank you for your lovely reply and sorry to hear you have the same problem with siblings or children I was so happy to have him back in my life I was blind and gullible me and his mum split up when he was 3years I had him every weekend until she met a new man and then that's when the relationship completely broke down she moved away and took my son with her I lost my father who I was very close to and started drinking with my life completely spiraling out of control she ended up having 3 more children with different fathers the last 1 being with a man who she moved to liverpool to be with him which he had n affair with another woman yet she remains there single and out of the blue my son wanted to be in my life after me trying to see him for years I should of known from the start what he wanted I've been sober now for 8 years and happily married to a woman who stuck with me through some very dark times its ironic she never drunk and has only been drunk 3 times in her life..but its true about karma my sons mum is single lonely and I've got everything shes ever wanted oh and a son whose a leach

Once again thank you for your reply and its lovely on hear the people are lovely and it's nice to get things off your chest xxxx

Its a pleasure - you have enough to contend with without a son who has misjudged you and the situation and should realise and know better. Sober 8 years is fantastic and I applaud you. Keep safe and keep chatting - it is free and good for the soul.

I made two lovely friends in hospital and now when we can we meet for coffee. After being discharged from hospital and going to visit the ward (before Covid) I was able to thank them properly and hug them and they will always be my friends. I love the following sentence that came from mindfulness🙏

The right people will always find you at the right time🤗🙏

I too have many very close friends on this forum who have kept in touch throughout Covid! We joked and laughed at each other throughout which has been a great comfort! On the plus side we are now arranging to meet up! 😁👍
