Trying to post more than 1photo but can't so will do separate. This is me last year taking mycophenolate and prednisolone A week before this was taken,I wasn't this big its horrible what these medication di to our bodies. I am no longer taking mycophenolate because I had a bad swelling reaction. I will post a before which was taken in June the same year...before the prednisolone and mycophenolate took over...

I feel for you. I blew up on prednisone and it got me so down. A year after i stopped taking it I have lost 2 stone and 1 more to go. People don't understand what it can do to you mentally and tell you that it's for your health you need to take it. Usually people who haven't experienced it. Hopefully you can get off the steroids soon or even down to lower dose and the weight will come off. Xx

Yes I definitely feel for you with the sudden weight gain. That was happening to me with prednisone I think it’s because I just had a ravenous appetite. But I got the moon face and a fat hump on my back… Very attractive! I would go out of my way to avoid passing a mirror, and I shied away from having any photos taken of myself. That’s why I would try anything to get off prednisone so when I went to a new doctor and he suggested Mycophenolate, I was happy to give it a try. I also developed osteoporosis and they said it was likely a result of the prednisone.I really had no side effects at all with Mycophenolate, I’m very lucky. Every medication works differently for different people and you just have to keep trying until you get the right combination. By the way you looked great in both pictures, even the second one, and I have to comment on your beautiful skin. Hopefully soon you will get the right combination of medicine that works for you. My hubby has to take a steroid boost 2 to 3 times a year and taper off over a month. He noticed the 1st time he did this that his weight increased. It is due to the side effect of the steroid increasing the appetite so now he knows that, he ignores the hunger pangs and eats less and more healthily during that time so has no weight issue while taking them.
