Need some positive vibes

Super anxious tonight. I had my transjugular liver biopsy on Monday and the doctor is giving me the results in the morning. I know most of you have been down this path, but this is such an overwhelming feeling knowing that in a few hours my life might look quite different. Still thinking of the worst. Hoping for a few words of support. I'm new here and love this group. Much thanks!!

Hi Thea123,

I think the unknown can sometimes be more scary. What ever the results of biopsy are there will be a plan to deal with it. Dont think the worst, think of the positive, you are a step closer to being treated properly for your ailment.

Hi Thea, and welcome to our friendly gang.

Unfortunately, anxiety is just part and parcel of waiting for results, particularly when you are new to liver disease, and the many tests that are needed.

I would just try and put it to the back of your mind, and keep yourself busy. I know that's difficult with lockdown just now, but avoid consulting Dr Google, he/she will worry you even more.

As I've been on my cirrhosis journey for nearly 4 years now, I've got used to the waiting.
