Will I still get Heptoma scan - British Liver Trust
Will I still get Heptoma scan
Good afternoon Rhubarb17,
I would suggest you discuss this with your own medical team - I have attached the governemt statement regarding appointments.
'Everyone should access medical assistance online or by phone wherever possible.
However, if you have a scheduled hospital or other medical appointment during this period, talk to your GP or specialist to ensure you continue to receive the care you need and determine which of these appointments are absolutely essential.
Your hospital may need to cancel or postpone some clinics and appointments. You should contact your hospital or clinic to confirm appointments.'
I hope this helps,

Ok. Thanks for the reply. I have contacted the Liver Clinic I attend but they replied that they did not know. I have stage 4 liver fibrosis and a such should have scan and bloods every 6 months to monitor. This is preventative. My liver is compensated and apart from the pains I'm fine. Thanks again.
My hubbies 6 month monitoring ultrasound scan hasn't happened. It was actually due in February but consultant had failed to order it so when I chased it up it was listed for (early) April - obviously hasn't happened due to covid-19 situation, keeping vulnerable folk away from hospital. Hubby also due to go to liver clinic in June and also have his yearly endoscopy. So far that might be up in the air.

Well I guess preventative procedures has gone out the window. Scotland ICU occupancy is around 25%. How can the NHS fail all of us who have other chronic life threatening conditions!!!!!
Hi, my consultation, scan and bloods for April were cancelled, and even my phone consultation was cancelled also.
