So we saw the consultant following GP letter and my call to secretary about hubby. On Fri they said drain needed but agreed to appt today first. Thank goodness!! Upshot is:

20mg furoesimide added

Watch BP

Bloods done

GP to continue being brilliant

If weight up by 2kg in next week or two ring and will be admitted for drain

Consultant appts gone to 4 weekly

Keeping very close eye on him but hoping to avoid transplant as thinks will improve

Ferritin down from 1000 in Oct to 800 slow but the right way

Came out more positive

Thanks again for everyone's support and help

Karen

Hi Karen

Sounds promising. Let’s keep our 🤞🤞! 👍.

Good luck to you both.

PS I think furosemide is brilliant!
