Thanks to all who reply to my posts it has really helped. Also a huge thanks to the trust nurses as thanks to their advice we have some help. GP saw hubby on Tues thought he had deteriorated and put fluid on so he sent letter to consultant. On trust nurse advice I then rang consultant secretary two days later (yesterday) and at 8.30 an the consultant rang and following a discussion he is seeing her Monday with likelihood of admittance for a drain. So thanks again everyone as hopefully we'll get more help and answers.

Hi
I'm so pleased that you have been listened to and that your hubby will hopefully feel more comfortable soon. Sending you both lots of love and hugs Lynne xxxx
this is a great forum...wish i'd taken the great advice here over the years a bit more seriously-I might have avoided some of the issues I'm having now....best wishes
not too bad Lynne-thanks for asking-I'm in the process of finding out exactly what my condition is? I have a cocktail of minor-ish symptoms which could indicate cirrhosis. No real pain-(apart from left shoulder blade)no nausea-just digestion issues. paleish stools for months-very variable though-it's some issue with the biliary system. The only thing definiely amiss is heightened mcv level -not a surprise really. Just last week or so getting minor dizzy spells which could be folate deficiency or minor HE. Not sure. eating very healthily-no fatigue as such. can't complain. Most of my symptoms started after I stopped drinking interestingly enough....sleep patterns distubed. That's about it
