Is it just me or can anyone else feel the liver at the bottom of the ribs when it is inflamed.
It's an odd feeling, but its definitely there. I am also finding that some days, I cant eat and this is getting worse. Not ideal but I need to lose around 2 stones in weight caused by the constant on and off of taking steroids.
Wishing you all well, take care x

Yes I can feel it there. My liver is very enlarged causing the capsule around it to stretch which then causes the pain. Hope you start to feel a little better soon. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx
Hi Alley, yes steroids can cause puffiness but if you stick to the healthy eating plan and exercise as much as you are able, you will lose that 2 stone.
Good luck

Hi Alley27
If you are concerned, then you may want to see your liver specialist for an assessment? Has your specialist also referred you to a hospital registered dietitian for some specific diet guidance?
Warm wishes

Some of us succumbed to something or other because we couldn't feel it. I have to admit that with cirrhosis I find myself running my fingers over the nodules pointlessly dreaming that the nightmares gone. 🙄
Hi guys thanks for your replies...I am down again today and its same as 27th December. Bloat, gas, belching abdomen tight as a drum...pain that worsens after eating and headache..no I didn't eat anything I shouldn't, just veg soup. Nothing all day because for three days I had no appetite.
I can't do anything until Monday but I need an in depth chat to my gp. This is not right. It's not liver related either as it feels different, pain is different .
According to research, constipation is one of the causes of headaches, and this is due to stress. The ability to poop well is a basic function of the human body. When you don t poop, you experience pain, worry, pressure, and inconvenience of being constipated as you feel your gut fill up, bloat, and block, which results in a lot of stress.
