Hi all, after months of upper right quad pain and discomfort for a number of months have at last actually had an Ultrasound. The radiologist noted that the Liver was bright and upon visit to my doctor he said the scan had revealed that I have a slight fatty liver and needed to look at my diet etc... and will review in 6 months and nothing to worry about. In the mean time I am in loads of pain in my lower back (feel feverish) and have elevated amounts of anxiety which probably not helping the physical symptoms. I am 3 weeks into at total change of diet which includes not a drop of alcohol, loads of fish and greens. I've dropped almost a stone and almost at my ideal weight and BMI. Also stools have a slight tinge of green in and wondering if this is normal for the amount of greens I'm eating.
My question how can my GP tell from a scan at what stage it is? All my bloods have come back normal including sugars, lipids, celiacs, blood count and numerous other tests so can't understand why I am in such pain. Any advice?
Thanks

Welcome with a "whoa". Slow down take it easy, don't crash diet. It's in the Timing. Every cook slave & butler's stuffing their Turkey in preparation so you'll have to be patient.
Try not to be over anxious. Your results don't appear bad. You have been diagnosed by clinicians via scan & bloods we can't dispute that. Everything is a work in progress.
I haven't experienced any such pain so I'll leave that answer to the Master chief's. 🤔
Hi
I too get pain as Ofeckman knows only too well!! I have Nash with fibrosis caused by meds from my drs!! The pain is caused by me having a very large liver which stretches the capsule around it causing the pain. Pm me if you need to. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx
Hi there and have a Happy Xmas. I've had this myself due to alcohol and being overweight. 3 weeks in in is pretty early in the process- give it at least another 3 and let's see what's what. Well done on losing the stone and the alcohol. Don't stress . Keep posting cheers
You will need to have a fibroscan to determine the stage of fat infiltration and whether you have any fibrosis.
