Drop in globulin??

Hi everyone. I signed up to patient access to look at my current vit D status and stumbled across my last set of lfts which were in october. I was a heavy drinker and stopped just before my first set of lfts which were fine, I have not continued to drink alcohol on a regular basis. Before my second test it had been around 2 months since I'd had any alcohol...and before that just a couple of beers. I noticed that my globulin has dropped from 31.9 to 22 from June. I am told all is fine as my albumin has stayed at 44 and my total protein is of a normal ratio. Has anyone experienced such a drop in globulin before?

Good afternoon Yooks82,

We are unable to comment on specific individual blood tests due to varying reference ranges , but may I suggest if you are concerned or require further explanation, your own doctor is best placed to review and discuss these as they will have all your own personal medical history available to them.

Best wishes,

No. But good luck on the access. I'm ready to go but the GP Surgery's online is permanently off / broken, so no link. Busting to get a hold of results even if I won't understand them. 👍
