Well I've finally given in to my memory issues and asked my pharmacy to make up my medication in doset boxes for me. I'd bought one for me to make up myself but got in a right pickle! It's made me feel really old, my 85 year old mother has doset boxes 😞
I've also been to Salford Royal today for my 2nd round of laser. I told the practitioner that non of the area's he'd lasered had bruised as he told me they would and there was little or no difference. He's really nice but said "in that case you've just signed up for more pain" To ve honest it wasn't too bad, but I look horrendous. I look like I have the black plague! We're having the grandsons tomorrow and I think I'll frighten them.😵

Hi Debs
Sometimes I go to bed forgetting to take my immunosuppressants. I then made the mistake of telling the TP coordinator about it and I got a very polite rollicking. I have the standard pill box that every TP patient gets but it doesn’t have an alarm on it hehe. I put the times in my calendar with an alert and even then, although I hear it, five minutes later, before I have taken my tablets, I have forgotten about the alarm. Ah the wonders of brain fog. So you’re not alone in pills issuettes.
Another brain fog issuette is I can’t remember what your laser treatment is for 👎🏻. Can you remind me please. Sounds a bit traumatic even if it didn’t hurt too much!

Oh man definately dont want to forget your Milo-Pilos. You need one of those cartoon type alarm clocks with the hammer and bells that when it goes off an arm comes out and puts the pills right in your mouth!

Sounds great! Can I get one on Amazon? 😁

I'll check. It has to be made by ACME to be official. 🙂

I've got Alexa to remind me to take my medication, both at 10:00am and 10:00pm. "Richard, you forget full git, have you remember to take your tablets yet?" Aways gets a laugh when we have company, or someone's on the phone.

Cracking - love it. I’d have to have it saying it every 5 minutes till I said Shut up Alexa. Trouble is I hate the word Alexa. Can you change it?
Aww dont feel old GrandmaD. Your one of the youngest souls on this forum. Could make for some fun with the grand kids though you just need one of those long bird face doctors plague masks from the 1300's . That would give a spook for sure lol!
Good luck on the second round of lasers. You are braver than I 😞🙂
Deb,
A small point and I am talking from experience. When the boxes get delivered, check that they are correct when you start the first day.
You can then be reassured that the pharmacist is working to the correct information.
You’re lucky you’re pharmacist will do your pills - when I asked mine, they said they were too busy so I had to go on a waiting list - I was number 25 that was six months ago .....
I asked my current pharmacy but they refused. I then tried the pharmacy down the road and they said it was no problem. Maybe you could find another chemist.
I’ve had dosset boxes for over a year it’s definitely worth it- and a husband who reminds me helps but I keep them on a table next to where I sit as a prompt as well x
Definitely hurts like hell! I looked like an extra on Cats! I had promised to take my granddaughter to see a friends band warm up, as she was too young to see the show. I wore massive shades, 2 ton of Kanebo and a very big hat! Thats love lol. I managed 10 and it did make a big difference. Smelling you skin burning is not good either. All the potions over the years for psoriasis caused it, No more hydrocortisone on my face ever since.
How long did it take for the bruising/bubonic plague type spots to go? I had about 6 on my face, 15 on my chest and six on each arm done. I've probably got another 2 sessions to go.
Varied from 7 days to 4 weeks, no rhyme or reason, All mine were on my face.Crazy I was covered in dry scaly skin but my veins on my face where more distressing. I keep my face and chest covered when sunbathing. Due to skin cancer awareness but also a fast track to wrinkles lol. My arms and legs get full. sun, it shifts psoriasis brilliantly well. Plus I never burn, Blue eyes, blonde hair and olive skin. I had done an in depth reply re patches, but it dissapeared. If I'm too tire to drive, I change my plans. My brother is like you and doesnt want to be stuck at home. I like my solitude so it doesnt bother me. ME/CFS is is totally unpredictable anyway. He is new to having Transverse Myelitis, so hasn't learned the no word yet. Plus he is due to be a Granddad again next week, so doesnt want to miss out. Meg is 15 so she can drop in any day, often 6 of them on their way home from school. We both love shopping, but the internet is worldwide, so I will help her find things, message her when I get a selection lol. She got a job 2 weeks after turning 15, so she is Miss Independent.
I dont forget my meds, usually because there is a pain element lol. I have my pills removed from the foil, as you will know with Fybro it bloody hurts getting them out of the foils. I asked the pharmacist could they be just am and pm too. I only take paracetomol on a bad day, which is prompted by pain. Pain patch is just once a week, definitely get a reminder from my body on that one.
I've been told not to take any painkillers by my hepatologist. I'm going to ask him about CBD oil when I see him next. Do the pain patches knock you out? I'm struggling with driving as it is so I worry that if I ask for patches I won't be able to drive at all. Debx
I'm lucky in the fact that my wife has been seeing to my pills because up until a few weeks ago I was on about 20 painkillers a day on top of all the others that we take. Just recently though when they put my Adoport (tac) down to 3mg a day she said that I could be responsible for those. 2 an hour before breakfast and 1 at 9 at night. Well, last nights tablet was taken at 3 a.m. this morning!!! My memory is really bad. I kept thinking at 8.30 p.m. Half an hour to my tablet and the next I thought about it was 3 a.m. and only then because I was up visiting the bathroom! Will have to do phone alarm!! Hope you're doset boxes work for you. All the best Alf
