Sounds like great news Lisa ☺

Will you still be having 6 monthly endos and ultras?

Gary

No, not according to the last quack x

Although I thought that was a bit strange after what I've been through.

I suppose we'll soon find out 🀞

Hope you're ok G

Take care

Make sure you ask about 6 monthly ultrasound scans and bloods just to continue monitoring. With a diagnosis of cirrhosis (even if your liver is now doing ok) you need to keep an eye on it for any changes.

You've done brilliantly.

Aaaw ok thanks gorgeous x

I'll defo mention it to them in April.

Tbh I'd rather I was still checked over , even tho I've gave up drinking the cirrosis happened so fast & without warning so I'd be ok with further tests x

Take care lovely πŸ™‚

NICE guidelines stipulate that those with cirrhosis should have 6 monthly HCC screening so you should ask.

God really!!! I never knew that, thanks babes I'll defo mention it when I go x

Yea it sucks but it's true that even if we regress from a cirrhotic state to a precirrhotic state.. the increased risk of HCC that came along with the cirrhosis never goes away. Plus even if that wasnt true I would want an ultrasound every six months just to keep myself mentally sound that I have not had anything bad happen in that time. I think for me if I never saw a scan again I'd work my brain up so much thinking something is always getting worse inside and never knowing would drive me nuts. If anything hun just get the scans every 6 months for peace of mind 😊😊

Yes I know I agree hun x

I always thought I needed/wanted appts as a sort of crutch but I'd go crazy if anything happened this far down the line that poss could've been seen earlier.

Plus I have the worst gp in the world (hence why we call him shipman) honest,it's like talking to Scooby doo so it's unlikely he'd pick up or send me anywhere if it was needed.

Cheers for the advice honey x

Take care x

Shipman πŸ˜….. love it!

Let's hope Harold Shipman didnt train his protégés to closely to his methods! Or more so that your doctor wasnt one of his pupils!😳
