Hi lovely people😍It’s beautiful weather today,i can feel spring is coming❤️Also it’s a very special day for me!!!As some of you might remember i was having treatment for grade 3 varices from last may.Every 4-6 weeks, having endoscopies and banding(pain and eating pured food after😖).So today i had endoscopy, and bloody hell what a surprise, they are gone!!!!I was having sedation,so was not really sure if they did the banding,i thought maybe this time sedation worked really well and i didn’t felt😄And then the nurse came with the report and told me no varices no banding, and next check up in 6 months!!!!!!I started cry like a child!!!It was happy tears ofcourse❤️❤️❤️I know that they can reappear again, but i hope not soon!!!Have a nice weekend everyone ❤️❤️❤️
Finally better news about varices:) - British Liver Trust
Finally better news about varices:)
Oh wow. That's truly amazing! Let us know in 6 months that your still kicking ass Indre. Onward and upward ❤
I definitely will write another post in 6 months after my app
That`s great news!
I have to admit, the repeated gastroscopies and bandings are the worst thing about my liver disease. I hate them...the back pain after, the mushy food.....plus I don`t respond well to the sedation (my next one is under GA, )
So...hope you have the same `clear` report in 6 months time. Good luck
At some point i was thinking about GA aswell, because i don’t know why but 3 first ones was a nightmare, sedation didn’t worked well🤦🏼♀️Everytime i was coming to the room and begging for maximum dose posible! Thanks god all other times it started to work quite well.About the mushy food,i discovered that baby jars are very yamy😂😂especially hipp brand rice puding with apple 😍And yes gastroscopy and liver biopsy are my worst nightmares 🤦🏼♀️
I wish you all the best with your next gastroscopy, and also to be clear from varices ❤️❤️❤️
That's fantastic news. I'm so pleased for you. It has been a beautiful day, my grandsons were able to play in our garden after school which was lovely to see. I went for my 3rd gastroscopy in 5 months a couple of weeks ago. After doing all the paperwork, bloods and being cannulated I went into theatre, lay on the bed, everything ready to go when the clinician says oh you've previously had gastric surgery I can't do it. It has to be done by your gastroenterologist 😣 I had to ring my husband to come and pick me up, have the unused cannula removed and came home. I'm now having it done on the 18th march. I've had enough of this and other conditions I've got and want it to just go away. If only. My last gastroscopy in Dec showed early varices but the one last july showed nothing at all. Worrying that they developed in such a short time. Take care. Deb
Oh my,not a good luck:(I really hope that the next one for you will go smoothly ❤️i had 7or 8 gastros from last May(lost my count)🤦🏼♀️Sometimes they giving a small dose of beta blockers to treat little varices,so hopefully they won’t grow large as was mine🤦🏼♀️But even how bad the gastroscopy is,it is for bleeding prevention, and i am so grateful that mine was caught just just before that.
I wish you all the best of health ❤️❤️
That is great! I'm so happy for you. I can't wait for the day they tell my husband no more varicies!
I'm already on beta blockers for the portal hypertension. I hope you continue to improve and don't need banding any time soon.
That's great news! Must be a huge relief for you ☺
