I was on the short stay ward at 8am and canulated, bloods taken then I had to wait until 11.30 to go to radiography while they waited for blood results. The consultant radiographer was lovely. He explained everything and when he put the local in..which really hurt as he had to go down into the liver he was so apologetic. The first biopsy didn't hurt at all but he didn't get sufficient tissue so he had to do another. That REALLY hurt. But he got a good sample. It will take at least a week fot the results but more likely 3 or 4 depending whether it needs to go to Leeds for a more specific test. It was a long, boring day but I'm glad it's all over. Hope you are all okay. Deb

Hi Deb,
Good to hear it is over and you have made it through.
Best wishes for only good news.

Hello, Deb! I have been watching for your posts to see if you got your biopsy results. Nothing yet? I am hoping the best for you. It’s terrible that your biopsy hurt so much… I really feel bad for you. Also, did you happen to get your ferritin test results back? Just curious what your number was, if you feel like sharing it.
Merry Christmas! 🎄
Wow, 3-4 weeks? That is a long time to wait. I hope you’ll be able to put it out of your mind during the holiday season, and perhaps on Jan. 2, the results will suddenly be available! Will you receive them via phone or in person?
I am thrilled your Restless Leg seems to be improving!! Fantastic!
I cannot remember your previous ferritin number ... was it maybe 10?
Good work!
I am doing well, thank you! Happy about my biopsy results, and finally received a diagnosis for my nausea (which is what took me to the doctor initially). It seems I’ve got gastroparesis, which means my stomach does not empty properly after eating. There is not much to be done for it, so I am just learning psychological tricks to live with the discomfort.
Good wishes to you and I’ll keep watching for your results. 😊
