Headaches: Morning everyone. Hope you're... - British Liver Trust
Headaches
Yes, but please watch your dosage. I think you need to get to the bottom of what is causing these headaches though. It's not natural to keep waking up with a headache each morning. There has to be a cause, it could be something simple like your sleeping posture, or something else that's going on. Try to see if anything has change recently. Maybe a certain food type could be causing these.
If they do continue please seek medical advice.
Best wishes.
If your pillows are to high that can cause headaches. try using one pillow. That keeps your spine straight to many pillows put your spine out of alignment as its putting a strain on your neck. I hope you get this sorted.
Thank you both for your replies.. seems even with all these symptoms i have there seems to be something new ! I dread waking up in the morning.. I cant even remember anything I do.. went for a shower earlier... couldn't remember coming upstairs! it;s like this with everything.. anything after its happened is gone. URGH. i feel drunk all the time it's so awful.
Off the topic of headaches, ive been getting what i think is a painful dull ache half way up left side of back.. assume it could be kidney taking a battering.. is it worth going to GP to get a kidney function test of some sort? And what would they do if it;'s not good?
Thank you !
Hi Ktan, go to your doctors about the headaches. I know they've been concentrating on whether these weird cognitive difficulties and absences are HE (despite no obvious liver issue) I wonder if they've even considered it could be anything else ....... like anything brain related. Don't want to add to anxieties but surely they should actually be checking your brain when your liver actually appears all ok.

Hi Katie, thanks for your reply..
I had a EEG about a month ago and that was clear. Also had a Brain MRI about 3 months ago, which was also checked over by a consultant who specialises in that field... also fine!
I feel I get nowhere at my GP, she referred me to QE hospital which I have had confirmation that they have now received my referral which is good. Not sure when i'll see my gastro consultant, as he's on annual leave now so I hope some time in January so he can do the ammonia test.
Hello,
I personally have a terrible reaction to paracetamol and even panadol. They give me some form of allergy causing nausea, cold sweats and body pains.
I was suffering from headaches and associated this to high pressure at work. Luckily, due to some helpful advice, I started taking some vitamins and supplements which have really been a life changer
