Change in liver texture

I made a post just on the run down to xmas last year about the excruciating pain I get occasionally and always being told to use omeprazole. I changed doctors and she sent me for an ultrasound where they found gallstones and changes in liver texture. Please note I don’t drink (a glass occasionally)and I don’t smoke. Text revealed lists of gallstonesand blood work was fine except my bilirubin was sitting at 33 or 39 can’t remember now. Following on I was referred to a consultant who says I need to get my gallbladder out but nothing is being said about the changes in the texture of the liver. It’s been 9 months since that test and I have not had any further updates except seeing a consultant. I intend going to my doctor this morning to request another LFT to know the health of my liver. Early last year I was on the ketogenic diet I assumed this diet must have caused the changes but the doctor I saw last year is not bothered all she mentioned was that we have to keep an eye on the level of bilirubin. I am confused, what questions should I be asking the doctors. I am scheduled to get my gallbladder out in a few weeks. Thanks for your contributions.

Have you had your gall bladder removed now? I had mine out when I was 20!!!!

Do any of you have diabetes as well, I've just been diagnosed, can you get sore feet with this or will this be my fibromyalgia? !? Thank you in advance. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx

Hi thanks for you response. I received a letter that there is a 12 weeks wait, so hopefully won't be long till I get it done.
