I got a copy letter today, it was sent to my GP on 24 July. It says my liver is distorted and the second MRCP is suggestive of cholangiopathy, PSC, they suggest me taking Urso, 750mg daily.
I have heard nothing from my GP, it is the first I have heard from the scan which was done in mid-May. I have only got the info as I chased. Before I arrange to go and see him, any questions I should ask, any side effects or Urso?

My partner had PSC (transplant a month ago today). He took urso for years but was told by a consultant to stop taking it because it doesn't improve the outlook for patients with PSC, and just falsely improves blood work.
Obviously my partners PSC was already very advanced (he had already been listed for transplant for a year and a half at that point) when he was told this so it may be a different story if it is less advanced.
He didn't really have any side effects from urso from what I remember, and he was certainly less jaundiced when he was taking it.
