Please help

Hi all. I was diagnosed with cirrosis decompensated. an varacies. I can't seen to get any answers from my specialist. I recently joined a gym. Had no idea this can cause a bleed. They never told me! Any advice or help would be a great help. I'm really struggling to understand it all. Thankyou

Hi, I was told to take walks and not to pick up anything heavier than 10 pounds. I had several bleeds since last year August. It was very scary. I was Treated with TIPS in June second this year in order for them to stop the bleeds; apparently it was the only treatment now for me. Don’t take chances, I still take it easy with with walks. Good luck.

Hello 12345t, I trust you're well and sound. Bleeding varices should be

managed in intensive care settings. Current management approach include antibiotic prophylaxis, volume restitution, endoscopy, etc.

Although effective therapy is available for most of the

complications of cirrhosis, liver transplantation is the only definitive treatment modality. I will recommend you check in with a specialist.

I am on those too...and if you don’t overdo it and don’t go to a country that is mega hot, with regular endoscopies you will be reassured and at least you will know how the varises are. I had a bleed two years back . So far I havent flown anywhere as insurance was too high and consultant said it could be dodgy to travel far at present. I hated endoscopies but now I just want to see how the varises are doing....Good luck.
