Hey, although not female I have BCS and take anticoagulants too. I've not come across any female BCS people (that I can recall anyhow!) on here but there are some in a very small facebook group so if you would like me to invite you to join (if you are on facebook) then happy to do so - so that you can ask your question to the females in the group. Alternatively if you're not on facebook then I can ask on your behalf if you are happy with that.
Either way, I hope things work out for you and your partner.
I’ve never spoken to someone that has it so hello!! I hope your path to diagnosis wasn’t too torturous and you’re going along well. I am not on Facebook (wasted too much time on it), I would appreciate it if you could put a message out into the group. I appreciate your offer very much. Thank you so much for your well wishes.
Hello! It's a relief hey? I remember when I first discovered someone to speak with about it, honestly I genuinely I had tears in my eyes because it was like finally there's another of me! Really helps so if you ever need to chat to a fellow BCS person just drop me a line! Was diagnosed in Jan 2017 after nearly 2 months in hospital myself so it's been a journey for sure, and I definitely have concerns myself as I would like children myself in the future and there's all sorts of side-effects the tablets could have (as well as anticoagulants I'm also on diuretics and lots vitamin/supplement type tablets as well as something for the insane itching experienced at times).
Already had one reply on that group, would you like me to private message via the 'chat' function on here?
