Lung or liver? You are posting on a liver advice page.

If your brother is awaiting transplant for either organ it would be best to discuss this with the transplant team and see what the procedures are for live transplant donation.

Hello.

I am awaiting a single lung transplant. You cannot donate a whole lung to your brother, I've never heard of that before, but you can donate a part of your lung called a lobe. However, this will depend on how healthy you are too. This kind of transplant is called a Living Donor Transplant.

As AyrshireK has mentioned, this is the Liver Trust page. It may be best to put your post on the British Lung Foundation page instead.

All the best,

Cas 😃
