So next month will be my schedule test again for fibroscan. This is my 2nd time, as i was diagnosed with liver fibrosis last Dec. I've been so focus on my treatment, since then i only eat healthy foods and take exercise. I have lose 44pounds in 5 months, my weigh now is at 147 pounds. My ALT and AST are now at there normal level. All my blood test are normal. Having this said, i still dont feel confident about my liver condition now. I am still scared getting my 2nd fibroscan, what if the score will be the same or gets higher (my score 9.8kpa). I am really freaking scared what will my score be sad
Sorry if this post might be irrelevant but i just wanted to share to someone about this because i cannot share this to my family as i dont want them to worry about me sad

I go for my second scan on monday... I haven't done every single thing that I could have, I lost 70 lbs and got comfortable and started eating unhealthy again... but I believe that I have regained control of it.
My first score was a 10. Praying that it will be lower but the pain in my side is a reminder that it is more than likely not gone down...
You really should let your family know what is going on, they will be your biggest support.
Praying for your result also, claiming it will be a good news
I think we're both experiencing the same right now. There are times that i eat unhealthy food maybe because i am close to my ideal weight. Same as you, i am still experiencing some pain on my upper right abdomen. Thats why sometimes i can help but think negative thought.
Thank you for your prayers... fibroscan average was a 6.4 this time with the highest number at an 8.7......
still having pain in the upper abdomen and around to the back. Dr ordered ultrasound and currently awaiting results. But the initial results from the fibroscan were amazing!! Praise Jesus!!
Wow Mitch!!! I'm very very happy for you!!! Indeed such a great news!!! You did a great job!
For still experiencing pain, i have read on some forum that we may still experience pain for 2-3yrs, as the liver takes time for it to heal. Dont overthink it yourself, you are fine now. I bet your ultrasound result is normal too.
When i had my fibroscan 2years ago it was 72.5 Kpa the consultant said it was off the chart i didn’t understand what that meant, he just replied with its as worse as it gets i cried all the way home I’ve excepted i have cirrhosis now
Im really sorry donna. And u dnt drink anymore? What is ur history of drinkin? Are u on medication. Its hard to re read all msgs to find out if u have already mentioned this as i read a lot lol take care x
Hi jojo hope you are well, i did like a drink when going out so i was a social drinker. My cirrhosis is down to hep c (and i suppose drinking heavily on and off for nearly 30 year didn’t help) I was a heroine addict when i was very young and like they say it only takes one time sharing a needle to catch something, i was living with at the time boyfriend he too was an addict and one day we had scored rushed home because we was feeling very unwell and it turned out we only had one needle in the flat we both knew we was clean (we had regular tests at the centre) so he was going first then me but then couple of “friends” turned up i was in the kitchen and they was doing their drugs to i came in just before he put the needle in a glass of water and they was 3 other needles in the glass i told him not to put it in I’d get another glass well came back he had injected his and put it in the same glass i was going crazy he said he knew witch one was his and chill (i so wish i just had ran to a neighbours for new one) i stupidly trusted his judgment and had my fix. We both had regular blood tests for about a year at the drug centre where we would get are prescription drugs from i never had a positive test i left him year on and got my life together i thought i was very lucky to never catch anything and in 2016 my G.P was doing some tests because my liver tests had been not quite right over the years doctor phoned me said i was type 2 diabetic and you have hepatitis c my hole world fell apart because i didn’t know how i had it had more tests it was chronic hep c i was lucky i was approved for the 12 week treatment and it was successful I’m now clear of it but 20 odd years of it had done the damage to my liver and that can’t be fixed. This is the first time I’ve written it down I’m sorry if I’ve offended you or anybody else
