I am having liver resection to remove 2 cysts that look benign but will be biopsied. He will also remove gallbladder. It is open surgery because of the placement of the cysts on my liver. Anyone have experience with this

I had a resection because there was a tumour on my liver. It was removed and a year later tumours reappeared at which point I was accepted onto the transplant list. I waited 18 months for a suitable organ but the operation was aborted due to a major haemorrhage, at which point my family were informed I had probably 12 hours to live. ‘This was all 18 months ago and I am happy to report that I am currently on a cruise in an extremely hot Goa 92 degrees and living life to its max. Positive mental attitude is essential when we are fighting liver disease and I am blissfully aware of how much it has helped me so far. Recovery from my resection I found to be slow and fatigue was always there.
Good luck and keep us updated
I didn't have cancer but I had a resection because my bile ducts were damaged due to impacted gall stones. It took about a month to get over and I was off work for a month.
