Hi, would someone be able to tell me how you go about getting a fibroscan done? And where they do them? I’m from the West Midlands and have no idea where they do them, thank you :)

Hi Hayley, are you under a consultant hun.gastroenreologist or hepatologist?

I had my first fibroscan in Feb last year at the QE hospital liver unit as i am under them now , if not i suggest you see your GP and take it from there. You may be able to do it private? ..

Hiya, thank you for your reply :) not anymore I was was under a gastroenterologist because of high ALT enzymes and he referred me for an ultrasound, but because the ultrasound was all clear he referred me back to my gp. I’m just concerned now as even though my bloods are back to normal I’m getting these unusual dull ‘pains’ around my right rib cage so I want to get it investigated more, I’m so worried that they will refuse me one as my bloods are normal

Your most welcome 😊.. well it will have to be your GP then, express your concerns hun and see what happens

If the pain gets bad take yourself to A&E they will check thing's over for you hopefully 😊

Hi , I looked into this early last year due to high ALTs for 11 years and other symptoms. I found the london liver clinic does them. Can check them out online. There may be a few other clinics around the UK, costs approx £450 , or check your nearest private hospital on websites to see if they do them. You may still need a referral for those from your GP. Best wishes 😍

Hi, above is a link for the blt's love your liver events. There is one of these events pencilled in for Autumn 2018 in wolverhampton, they do fibroscan for free I think as long as you've not been diagnosed with a liver condition or under a hospital for one. Just keep an eye on the page for proper confirmation. Hope this helps. Xxxx
