ELEVATED GGT LEVELS

MY GGT LEVEL IS 297,GLOBULIN 3.6, REST ENZYMES ARE IN RANGE . IS THERE ANY MEDICATION TO BRING DOWN MY GGT WITHIN NORMAL RANGE IN TWO WEEKS .

Babadot, unfortunately non of us here are medically qualified so unable to give you any medical advice/guidance. I would suggest that in regards to any medical issues you eat a healthy diet and reduce your alcohol intake....For any other concerns definitely speak to your GP for advice and help.

Mine has only returned to within range in February , in July it was 167, so 7 months it has taken. I have not taken alcohol for 10 months. Everybody is different and it depends on why your levels are elevated

GGT and other similar Liver Function Test (LFT) numbers are used to determine if and what possible underlying issues may exist. They cannot be viewed in isolation. Most often, any treatment is about addressing the problem resulting in abnormal numbers and not just focusing on the number itself. Speak with your doctor about what the GGT may indicate in your case and determine a course of action if needed.

Would like to know if you get a diagnosis. I have had elevated ggt for 3 years with no answers and many doctors. Good luck
