Ascites

I have fluid in my abdomen around 1-2 liters if i were to guess. Have had scans, blood tests and doctors say my liver, kidneys, etc looks good. im not overweight, have other symptoms like fatigue, weakness etc. Had small inguinal mesh hernia over a year ago. The doctors did not see liquid in my abdomen but i know there is liquid in there because i can make it slosh sometimes at right and left of belly button. Only 27 almost 28, if i gathered all the days i drank id say almost 4 years full time drinking 5-8 beers daily.

My question is, whats the usual amout if someone has ascites, is it usually only a ton or are sometimes it a small amount where the machines dont pick it up? Im doubting its because of my inguinal mesh because the surgery was really small, and would be surprising if it was seroma after a long time. Also would figure i needed to drink a lot longer to have liver failure.

Thanks for replies, this is a great place for people that have "been there" sometimes doctors mean well but either dont have an understanding or have lack of knowledge.

The scans would of picked up if it was ascities and the doctors would of investigated why you had it as it's not only liver disease what can cause it, also if you do have ascities it doesn't 'slosh' about as you described.

I went to the hospital 2 days ago and I kept telling them to check my liver, but they diagnosed me with IBS. I feel they should of checked my liver, spleen cause I was having so much pain. I still am having pain and my side where my liver is, so swollen and I was bleeding non stop for 3 hours. I'm in so much pain on the side where my liver is. What should I do😥
