ive just had results alt 68 should be 7-40 gamma gt 74,and cholestrial 6.2 crp 18 ...i am very overweight i dont drink what could it be ? just fatty liver ..im hopefully having gastric bypass

It most probably is fatty liver you just need to change your diet fresh food no salt no sugar and exercise and in a few months I am sure you will notice a change in bloods it's becoming more common now people being diagnosed with fatty liver due to convenience meals so don't feel bad but do take notice you can reverse fatty liver good luck x

Just to echo lifestyle changes is what is used to treat fatty liver. Your doctor will probably set you up with an ultrasound to be proactive. Hepatic steatosis can be seen pretty readily with an ultrasound. I would like to mention and you probably know this. Gastric bypass won't help with curing the fatty liver from a surgical standpoint. It will help get the excess weight off you so you can exercise. Deep fat is your enemy right now and that's what needs to be treated.
